Hello everyone! I finally decided to try my hand at making a clay pendant! This is a steampunk book! It is painted, baked, glazed and ready for travel, so it will be coming with us this weekend to Khaotic Kon! ^^ There is only one of them, though, so if you like it, come see us and grab up this custom, handmade book pendant! ^^

Greetings everyone!
I have some exciting news! This is the second official year of Dragon Spice takings its business to the conventions. During the first year, we were learning the ropes and finding our feet, as the old saying goes. But, now that we've gained some experience with the three conventions we attended last year, we are ready to go at this full throttle, 2014! We have practically a full schedule! We may add perhaps one more to the list, or two, but as of now, these are the ones we are registered for and will be attending! April 11th-13th - Khaotic Kon (2014) May 23rd-25th - Omni Expo (2014) July 11th-13th - Metrocon (2014) September 19th-21st - Mythicon (2014) October 31st-2nd - Shadocon (2014) We have a lot of new, wonderful pieces too, everything from ear cuffs to beautiful, shiny new pendants for you to browse through, to your hearts' content! So, when you are attending any of these fabulous conventions, stop by and see us! We will be delighted to serve you! As always, have a Spicy day and thanks for your patronage! ^^ Oh and P.S. Dragon Spice now has its very own Facebook page so that you can get updates on the progress of our mangas, our jewelry and the events we will be attending even faster! Alisha D. Greetings all! ^^
Just a small update! Dragon Spice will be making an appearance at Khaotic Kon! Yay, so exciting! We will be carrying our usual array of odds and ends there, from lolita, to steampunk and everything in between! But, we actually have a ton of new rings for you to look at! Imagine a lovely, new, silver ring adorning your hand bearing a topaz, Morganite, garnet, amethyst or sapphire gem! Haha, I am having to slap my own hand to keep from taking a few for myself! XD I'm such a crow! I hope to see you guys at the cons! ^^ Have a spicy day! Alisha D. To all of my faithful costumers who came to see me at Sands of Anime 2014, I apologize for being missing in action. I had managed to make it up there to Cocoa Beach for the event and managed to open up shop one day of the weekend, but my helper had gotten considerably ill, meaning that we had to pack up and make for home that evening. I, myself, had been feeling a touch under the weather, as well, at the time.
I wanted to say that everyone we saw there looked great in their cosplay and costumes! We hope to see both old and new faces when we visit the up coming Omni Expo and the illustrious Metro con that I have been looking forward to representing at all year! If Dragon Spice signs up for any more conventions, I will keep you posted! ^^ I apologize once again for any inconvenience our absence in the Sands of Anime convention may have caused to anyone. Have a Spicy Day! ^^ Alisha Dragon Hello everyone! I just wanted to share a few quick, exciting updates with you! First off, I am really excited about the Sands of Anime con in Cocoa Beach this January! They have a Homestuck Prom, a Pony Party and what I confess to being most excited about is their Friday night Casino night! Maybe even I'll try my luck! ^^ Never won anything before, so there is a first time for everything, hehe! There are also some terrific guests coming and since the location is only a stone's throw or so from the beach, the scenery is sure to be memorable! Here is the website, if you guys want to take a closer look!
http://sandsofanime.webs.com/ Hoping to see you there! ^^ As for the next update, my manga is up to its 44th page! Not only that, but the artist, Tiffa Lei, has just done a magnificent, colored, two page spread! I just wanted to share that with everyone! Here is the link to the picture on Tiffa's Deviant art: http://tiffa.deviantart.com/art/A-Walk-in-the-Park-418558021?offset=0#comments Anyways, that's it for now! ^^ Thanks for your continued support and have a Spicy Day! Ah, Asylum con! What an exciting adventure it was! The highlights of the event for me were the wonderful cosplay costume contest, magnificent ballet performance and of course, the thing that made my weekend complete, all of the smiling, happy faces that came to visit me at my table! It was nice meeting you all! ^^ Thanks once again to all of you who bought a Dragon Spice jewelry piece, thus supporting a new company in the industry. Domo Arigatto Gozaimasu, mina-san!
Anyways, the next convention coming up that Dragon Spice will appear at is still the Sands of Anime con in January. As usual, we are hard at work to come up with worthwhile products for our customers! You never know what you will find at our table! That's the beauty of it! A surprise every time, because no two pieces are ever alike at our table! So come by and get yourself something really unique at the Sands of Anime con! We look forward to seeing you! Have a Spicy day! ^^ P.S. I have some pictures below of the Asylum con! ^^ Greetings everyone! My goodness, it has been a while since I last blogged. Oh and I just posted a blog piece that should have been published a couple of months ago. Opps. ^^; Oh well, no one's perfect. Anyways, I and everyone associated with Dragon Spice have been working their tails off to bring the public the best accessories possible! Now Dragon Spice is offering hats! Not just one or two kinds. Hats of all shapes and sizes! Particularly, mini top hats with imaginative shapes and vivid colors, all for reasonable prices!
Concerning other news, not only are we going to the Sands of Anime convention in January, but we will also be attending the Asylum 2013 convention in Tampa in November! Here is their link! Feel free to check it out! ^^ www.asylumtampa.com Concerning the manga, the blueprints are finally done! The manga will come to 183 or so pages! That's why I said not to hold me to the other estimate. Somehow, I had a feeling it would expand into more. But, that's alright! It just means that there will be more action packed pages for the readers to enjoy! As for Tiffa Lei, she is up to page 35! It sure is flying by! I have a feeling that we will have the manga ready to publish before we know it! Thanks goes to all of my supporters, once again! Have a Spicy day! ^^ Alisha Dragon Hello all! ^^
I recently got back from Dragon Spice's first official convention as a vendor, Mythicon! It was a first time convention, but I think there was a fairly good turn out. Everyone looked wonderful in their costumes and the artist alley as well as the Vendor room was often buzzing with life and excitement as the con goers stalked the tables for that special something they could not live without. Despite my tasks as a Vendor, I managed to attend two panels that I enjoyed immensely. The first was hosted by Liam O' Brien and Sam Riegel, both well known and prestigious voice actors in the anime world, amongst other things, who put on a fabulous voice acting audition to show people just what it was like to try out for a role. I was one of the lucky people chosen to show them what I could do. Although, between you and I, dear fans, I think I will leave voice acting to the professionals. XD I also attended a delightful panel by Grant George, who happens to be one of my favorite voice actors. He is the voice of Vyers and Axel in the Disgaea video game series. I was delighted to meet him. He had stopped at my table and bought a piece of jewelry from me, which thrilled me to the bone. ^^ The cosplay costume contest was also thrilling with a group of dedicated people strutting their stuff to upbeat music in costumes they had made mostly themselves. So, in conclusion, Mythicon was an event teaming with life, a healthy appreciation of my hand made goods and many people who took one of my cards, anticipating the day my manga is released to the public. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who purchased a little something from me at the Mythicon. By doing so, you are helping a fledgling company to get on its feet and show the world just what it can do! We are going to be signing up for the Sands of Anime convention which is coming January of this upcoming year! It is in Cocoa beach and promises to be lots of fun with its promstuck and my pony party! Here is a link to its official website. They have a facebook too! http://sandsofanime.webs.com/ Dragon Spice will have new, exciting pieces to look at and we look forward to seeing you there! ^^ Greetings! ^^ I have another exciting update. This one in particular concerns the convention we will be attending in August of this year. Because our booth focuses on cool things that cater to the lolita, steampunk, fantasy and vampire crowds, we have been hard at work searching for jewelry pieces that will interest you! We have recently acquired wholesale jewelry from estate sales that will surely excite accessory enthusiasts! There might even be some pieces in there for the cyber punk in you! Between these new finds, the handmade, unique pieces for the individual in you and the other goodies we will be presenting for your enjoyment, there is surely something at Dragon Spice's table for everyone! Do be sure to come and see us at the Mythicon 2013! ^^
Thank you and have a Spicy day! Alisha Dragon Hello everyone! It may have been a while since my last post on this blog, but I and the rest of those associated with Dragon Spice have been busy, busy, busy working on our new manga! Today, I proudly bring you a status update. Tiffa Lei, the artist for our project, has just completed the twentieth page of the manga! It is all so very exciting to see the project really coming along. Currently, we are smack dab in the middle of the main character's school, where the story shows the reader that he has the same kinds of trouble that everyone else at that critical age faces. The manga is estimated to be completed at one hundred and sixty pages. Although, please don't hold me to that. I am the one making the blueprints for the manga and have found that when the written word is translated into art on the page, that it tends to bloat. XD
Also, I have another update that is news worthy. Dragon Spice Inc. has booked its first table at a convention, as a Vendor! We will appear at the 2013 Mythicon located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld 10100 International Drive Orlando, FL, August 23-25th. There, we will be selling handmade jewelry, wholesale jewelry, pocky sticks, oriental fans and chopsticks, lolita and steampunk haberdashery and much, much more! We hope that you can come and join us there for the fun! ^^ Thank you everyone and have a Spicy day. ^^ Alisha Dragon |
